1. Prize-winning, invitation-only, limited lighting design competition including subsequent commission for lighting design planning services for all areas of the new SCHÜCO administrative building “Haus der Technik” (UZ-D).
The “Haus der Technik” is being developed at the Schüco headquarters, located on one of Bielefeld’s main access roads.
With its striking facade and interesting floor graduation it will be an impressive and formative landmark on the eastern route into the city, and the location of a globally active facade specialist.
The lighting aims to support this aspiration in its creative, technical and economical execution.
The lighting concept forms a close symbiosis with the architecture:
The light interacts with spatial sequences and structures and helps to further differentiate between
room zones and functional areas. Lighting types and qualities that are specifically adapted to the architecture, as well as light scenes specific to both the area and usage, promote a working and living space with high residence qualities and specific, identity-forming lighting characteristics.
